Rites for Mr. Lutzenberger held Saturday
Bert Ellis Lutzenberger, 92, died at the Amory Manor Nursing Home Wednesday at 5:30 P.M. after a short illness.
A native of Sligo, Mo., he was an employee of the Frisco Railroad where he started work in Cuba, Mo., in 1911. He transferred to Amory in 1928, retiring in 1956 as a conductor. Mr. Lutzenberger married Edith Francis Corcoran in 1917 and she died in 1975. He was the last member of the group that came in to open the Frisco Pensacola subdivision in Amory.
Mr. Lutzenberger was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Nine-Plus Bible Class, the Friendly Fellowship Club, Senior Citizens, the Frisco 20-year Club and a Mason.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Pickle Funeral Home chapel with burial in Haughton Memorial Park. The Rev. Truman Brooks officiated assisted by the Rev. G. R. Williams.
Survivors include a son, Jerome Lutzenberger, Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Miss Camilee Lutzenberger, Amory; One sister, Mrs. Irma Stiller, Weleetka, Okla.; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
