AGED INVALID CALLED HOME

Death, sometimes swift, sometimes slow and agonizing, finally laid its irresistible hand on Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Corcoran, aged invalid of this city Sunday. Mrs. Corcoran had been in failing health, in fact an invalid, since January, 1913, a short while before the death of her husband William Corcoran, who passed away on January 23, 1913. Mrs. Corcoran was past 81 years of age at the time of her death.

Mrs. Corcoran had been a resident of Dent County for more than fifty years, and a member of the Methodist Epispocal Church for over thirty-five. She was loved and respected by all, who knew her.

Mary Elizabeth Owensby, one of a family of ten children, was born at Chattanooga, Tennessee, October 9, 1844. She was married March 2, 1866, at Murphysboro, Illinois to William Corcoran. To this union were born nine children, six of whom are now living. They are Mrs. Wm. McDuffe, Farmington, Mo., Mrs. Joseph Reno, Santa Rosa, Mo., W. E. Corcoran, Dysart, Iowa, J. T. Corcoran, LaPorte City, Iowa, Mrs. James Hanson, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Bert Lutzenberger of Salem. There are also living 18 grand children and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from the home on Tuesday afternoon by Revs. Bradsher and Williams, and burial was made in the City (Cedar Grove) cemetery.
